Reconciliation isn’t just a buzzword. It’s an action.
Meaningful reconciliation requires politicians to repair relations with Indigenous communities. This includes implementing the recommendations of:
1. the Truth and Reconciliation Commission;
2. UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples;
3. the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Tell politicians to turn words into actions. Tell them to honour Canada’s promises to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people.
